Air quality today - how do we sue Canada .....

Yesterday and day before it was yellow out, then orange. Wind shift kept it low today but tomorrow is supposed to be the heaviest so far and lowest to the ground concentration. I think I'll skip the yard work.....

Reddish yellow sky today with the sun looking like it was behind an old film negative.
No birds or bugs active and we are staying inside as much as possible. My wife is using her oxygen continuously now and wearing a N95 mask to filter out any particulates that she might breathe in.

Government has list its collective minds. When it comes to forest fires the US needs to keep mouths shut and be humble. The epa and tree buggers have destroyed billions if acres of forest over the years I've policies that make situations more intense and dangerous. The idea of suing Canada over forest fire smoke is asinine and in my opinion a cover up For some other reason. Besides just plain stupidity

Makes me glad I am in the deep south, NE Texas, so we almost never get any of that. Sometimes some of the Sahara dust, but not like further south. We did have a lot of wildfires both north and south of us about 15 years ago, but our area was spared most of the smoke and soot.

I’ve been wondering why are there so many fires in Canada for the last few years? How do they get started? Has there been an extended drought? It just occurred to me today when I saw a map of the many fires.
I would guess they have the California forest management system.

This is fire season folks. IMHO The reason there is more fires of consequence, is there are a ton more people living in what was once open forest. Back in the day, Forest Fires happened:
Naturally (lightning), Accidentally (campfire not extinguished)
On purpose (prescribed burn).
There was less arson, and less clueless day users.

Fire is how the forest reclaims and eliminates sick and dead trees, adds nutrients back into the soil, and in certain cases is the trigger some trees need to propagate.

Encourage your state to do more prescribed fires earlier in the Spring... it's gonna be smoky, suck it up.

Property owners: Do your yardwork, cut the weeds, lift the canopy, and eliminate the Ladder Fuels from your property. Work with your neighbor, it's safer, more efficient, and more fun.
YOU CHOSE to live in the forest.. be a good steward or move to regions with local fire departments.
