I like the SP 101 and have thought of buying one. But the sights are hard for me to see.

Are there any aftermarket options available? I think some companies offer tritium/white front sights. Any experience with them? Hard to install and do pin holes line up with existing holes in barrel?

Also thinking of painting rear sight groove black - not something too permanent. Hard for old eyes to use both narrow notch and the shiny stainless. Might also file out rear notch a bit so wider and more light.

Since may modify would like to pick up used one. What is decent price for one in good shape. I was thinking $325 or so plus taxes and transfer fees.

Thanks for any info, ideas or opinions.

I had Alan Harton installed Smith & Wesson adjustable sights on mine.

I have had good luck just painting the front blade serrated edge with fishing lure/jig "Chartreuse Yellow" paint. Very easy fix, durable, gives a good sight picture and it inexpensive. Pics will give you an idea.
