One of the greatest R&R bands ever.
THANKS BLUME.......the amazing thing is how many of these rockers have actually managed to live this long.. the Stones are the premier example.... I have to say they must be some more tough dudes to have lived through all the drugs and such they did. Then again a lot of them didn't.
To answer Johnnu2.... this is Steve Tyler... he was just the lead singer of the group and spent 50 years screaming at the top of his lungs until he broke his vocal cords and it seems they can't be repaired. I'm sure there are others here who can answer much better... my only experience was him in two episodes of Two and a Half Men where he lived next door to Charlie Sheen and would 'practice' his singing at night... which was him doing this high pitched screeching....
Journey lead singer was Steve Perry.....this thread is about Aerosmith, lead singer is Steven Tyler.I remember being at a Journey concert years back. I looked around and was amazed by all the old people. Then I remembered- I'm one of them! I first saw Journey in Anaheim in around 1979…good times.
Just commenting on how the bands age, the audience ages…Journey lead singer was Steve Perry.....this thread is about Aerosmith, lead singer is Steven Tyler.
I saw Journey a couple times as well, but in the early 80s.
So has mick jagger they say he put on a hella a show in San Francisco last monthIt's interesting to watch bands and singers age. Often there is that sweet spot where they are old enough to take advantage of everything they have learned through the years, but they haven't started to lose their voice yet. And then all of a sudden it goes South. It was torture to hear Johnny Cash later in years. Paul Simon hung in for a long time but.
