I'm having a little problem with my Ruger MK III. Sometimes (not always) after firing a round the trigger doesn't reset and I'll have to use my trigger finger to push it forward and reset it. What causes this, and what can be done? All information will be appreciated. Thank you.

Try a drop of light lubricant on the trigger pin, the plunger and trigger return spring, and between the disconnector and frame. Those are all the likely "hang up" points.

If that doesn't fix it, a complete disassembly and inspection for burrs is called for..... or, if you're not up to it, a trip back to Ruger.

Possibly, your pre-travel screw has backed out a little. When you release the trigger, does it move a little farther forward than where it is when the trigger resets? If so, the pre-travel is okay. This is easier to see with the receiver off the grip frame.

It's a hex head screw (I think 1/16th) in the front of the trigger, in front of the pivot hole. Not the most fun to get to on a factory trigger, one reason people use the VQ triggers.

It should be blue-loctited when set, so you don't have repeat of same problem. Set it, like above, so that the trigger goes a tiny bit past the "click" of the trigger resetting.
