I got me one of these here new sr-40 s here a couple weeks ago and I been shooting it a bit. I have had 200 rds wwb, 100 full power 180gr hornady xtps, and about 100 lee 175 gr TC. 0 functional problems. 0 mods to the pistol. I have cleaned it well and dialed the sights around a bit, nothing more. With all the talk of accuracy with the new sr1911, I thought I could get a discussion going about accuracy in general. Here are some 25 yd 5 shot groups with the Lee 175gr TC bullets.

The load is mixed range brass, WSP primer, 6 gr Power Pistol, 175 gr lee TC 1/2 wheel weights, 1/2 pure lead, sized .4015 lubed with lbt blue soft. All shooting done at 25 yds, reclining back rest position, 2 hand on pistol rested between the knees. All 5 shot groups.

What do you think are rugers accurate enough?

Yep-In my opinion they are accurate enough. Everyone has different opinions though.

Nice shooting Brad, great groups!
For all peoples yappin about one ragged hole groups on the web, that's something I never see at the range. Most can't pull off the groups you did at 50 feet, let alone 25 yards.

I hope revhigh doesn't see this thread, he hates 40s and this thread will for sure wind him up. LOL
