Would a trade of a Ruger Mini-30 for a Ruger Red Label 12G 26" barrel be a good trade?

Considering clean used Red Labels usually sell for about $1000, and you can get a NIB Mini-30 from Bud's for just over $700 plus FFL, I'd say it's a bad deal for the guy trading off the Red Label.

Well I kept the Mini-30 and bought the Red Label with cash. It is 99%. Looks like i just took it out of the box. How did I do for $850.
