A really nice pre warning 243 Ruger 77

Just need a little advice. My buddy has a 71 prefix 77 in 243 and it has about a 250 dollar scope on it. He told me he would take 625 dollars for it. The rifle is about 90 percent. Deal or no Deal? Thanks.

For me = no deal... Unless the scope is really something special.

Kinda what I was thinking but I did not know if the Pre-Warning 243 might just have a little collector value-Guess not.

As a comparison, there was an 85% condition flat bolt in a shop here recently that was priced at $450 with an old weaver scope...

The 243 has a band new Nikon 3x9 with BDC on it and I figured that with the price of the scope the rifle would be around 375 dollars which is not too bad. I am really not too enamored with a 243 but I just needed some good advise and I thank you.

My 71 prefix 77 is a 270 (c. 1974), the 72 prefix was a 243 (c. 1976) both bought new at the same time, and new out the door they were $188 and $160 in 1977. Times/prices change. :wink:
