Hey Guys,
I found this video outstanding of what can be done between a Wild Cheetah and a very patience Man.
Please watch it to the end when it gets outstanding.
I experienced some of this bonding with Louie the Hoot Owl last spring. At first Louie wanted to chew my fingers off, but after time and patience He knew I was not a threat and he enjoyed me stroking and holding him.
Not much of a comparison to what this Guy did.
Enjoy.

When I clicked on the link,, I got a page full of a lot of different things about a Cheetah. Didn't know which one to look at.

I would support the idea of making "Louie the Hoot Owl" a sticky.

John,
Thank you so much. Every time I go by his tree I look to see if he is there and I get a little sad when I don't see him looking down at me. Anyway maybe the Hooter Family will come back next spring. If so it will be interesting to see if he will recognize me and come for a mouse.

I remember a guy named Timothy Treadwell who thought he was friends with the grizzly bears in Alaska. That is before they ate him.

All animals,, just like people have personalities.

When a person is gifted with the trust of a wild animal,,, it points to a higher power of trust & love that in my opinion,, God allowed them to enjoy.

I tried again to click on the link,, and all I got was a whole bunch of stuff about cheetah's,, & even unrelated stuff. The top of the page said something about it was cheetah stuff filmed by a kim woifinger (spelling from a bad memory.) Nothing about a man cheetah incredible reunion.

It must be how my computer filters stuff or whatever.

I suspect the OP sees it cause he's not cleared his cookies since he first clicked on it.

I don't get the link either.

Regardless, it'd be a poor choice and maybe a fatal error to think that animal would never turn on you.

While there is definitely a feel good factor, I tend to be in the camp that wild animals are wild animals, and are ultimately slaves to their baser instincts.
I have been acquiring moose in my yard in ever increasing numbers over the years. I make jokes about it, and have named two of them... Hillary, and Barry....
But make no mistake... we ain't buddy's.. When they are close, I am armed and I will put them down....
We have a one minute at a time truce...
If we can't trust a pack of domesticated dogs... how can we trust a wild animal?

Tyrone,
Kim Wolhuter is the Guys name and he is a one-time game ranger with experience in the military, Kim is a maverick wildlife filmmaker with an extraordinary ability to befriend wild animals back home in southern Africa.
Don't know why the link doesn't work for you guys it does for me on and off the Ruger Forum. Yes there are a of his videos associated with the link. Anyway there is a lot of info and videos about him on the internet.
And to you naaaaaaaaaaa sayers I would have never guessed that wild animals were still wild  Kind of like don't help a Hoot Owl in need it will be OK on it's own. :D

Acclaimed wildlife filmmaker and photographer Kim Wolhuter is the third generation of game ranger in his family. Based at Mashatu for the past 14 months, he has been filming a documentary on hyenas and causing a worldwide media frenzy when he received a ‘facial’ from an overly friendly cheetah!

Don't feel bad about ole timothy at all. The girlfriend is another matter. Had he lived he should have been charged with pre-mediated murder.

GEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS This has gotten way to hard.
The Guy is all over U Tube.
The one I posted is titled
"Man and Cheetah-an Incredible Reunion"
From I year ago

This is the Guy just put his name in U-tube.
Kim Wolhuter is the Guys name and he is a one-time game ranger with experience in the military, Kim is a maverick wildlife filmmaker with an extraordinary ability to befriend wild animals back home in southern Africa.

He even has a video on how he is able to do this work. It might take him up to TWO years to get the trust of the animals.

Jim,
I don't get on you-boob. I only go to good links shared here.

But,, the above link posted by CG allowed me to watch it. Outstanding. As you said,, the ending is great.

Ancient Egyptians used cheetahs for hunting. Also were known to keep them as house pets.

Tyrone,
That is a shame you-boob has some amazing stuff on their site.
I watch movies, old history channel and aviation stuff on it.
Here is one I watch last night about our Subs spying on the Russians during the Cold War "Blind Man's Bluff". Very Interesting. Some scary stuff took place by our Subs and Men.
