Im a genius. I thought of this conversion tonight. Seems to me like it would be the perfect conversion for that caliber. What would be pros and cons? Anyone got one? Seen one??

I would like to hear Hondo44's thoughts on it since he has done other conversions with this platform...

I suspect it would have to be a 5-shot....which would actualy make it a 4-shot if done on the OM platform.
Other than that, I'd reckon it would work fine.....I just aint too sure what I'd do with it if I had it.

I'd imagine the easiest approach would be on a New Model .32 H&R Single-Six to get the centerfire geometry "for free" as opposed to modifying a rimfire version.

I think Gary Reeder does (or did) a Single-Six conversion to .38 Super, and that's pretty close.

:)

Edited to add . . . yes, Reeder did make these for a while as their ".38 Backpacker" with fixed sights and a five-shot cylinder.

THE COOLEST SINGLE SIX CONVERSION I ever saw was in 380ACP of all things. It was extremely accurate, gave really high velocities with 100gr LFN bullets, and just knocked the everlovin' stew outta small game. I sorta looked upon it as a thirty five caliber 22MAg in application. At that time, with handloads, it was cheaper to shoot than 22LR or 22 MAG for that matter. It was a jewel and he would not sell it !!!
