A acquaintance of mine recently purchased this customized Super Blackhawk from the Mike Stewart Collection estate auction
I’ll be honest and admit I have not heard of this collection or the conversion from the super Blackhawk before. Just posting to see what y’all‘s opinion of it is.

7mm-30 Herrett Serial # 80-35487Custom Built Ruger Old Model Super Blackhawk converted into a Hawkeye Single Shot. 13-7/8” Barrel in 7mm-30 Herrett caliber. High Polish Blue. Clear Optics on a Leupold M8 4 Power Extended Eye Relief Scope in Leupold Base and Rings. Superb Trigger. It has a LONG Grip Frame with Beautiful Genuine Ivory Grips that have some natural cracks which have been stabilized to prevent further cracking. About As New condition with a few freckles on sides of hammer. From the Mike Stewart Collection. Barrel 13 7/8" C&R

Well that's a new one on me. Never seen such a critter, nor did I know anyone necked the .30Herrett down to 7mm. Fascinating!

I wonder the owners application. It could only be an unlimited gun in silhouette. Hunting? a "just because" gun?

Reading the IHMSA info on the round I had a 30 Rocket and 270 rocket at one time. They both shot very well.

it's really cool in a lot of ways but i can't see the point in making it a single shot , might just as well had a custom Contender barrel made
