Does the sear listed in Brownells for the 77/22, 77/22 Mag, 77 Hornet also fit the 77/44? I think they list a Timney and Volquartsen sear.

There are several threads about that.

Neither one of those threads told if the sear for the 77/22, Mag, Hornet fits the 77/44 also. I will PM one of those guys and ask if they know. Thanks for the links.

All trigger components including the sear are the same. I went with a Rifle basix complete trigger over the sear. If you just replace the sear you will probable have to do some filing to get proper safety engagement. The rifle basix offers easy adjustment with a screw for the safety engagement as well as other adjustments you cannot get from just the sear.

Thanks for the info, I'll check out the trigger also.

FWIW, the Volquartsen worked for me as a total drop-in. No filing necessary and the safety works perfectly. I still need to do a bit of sanding to get rid of some creep, but it works fine the way it is.
