Went yesterday and tried a new load in the 357 rifle. Used WW296 power. Did a work up and it turned out to be 21.0 grs. was the best, with a Speer 125 gr. HP . A 3 shot group .352" at 50 yds... It is going about 1900 FPS. I don't now about other peoples 357 rifles , but mine likes .355"Dim. to 357"Dim. bullets. It don't like the .358" Dim. bullets like SWC at all. I get good groups with everything but the SWC is all over the board no madder how slow or fast they go.

Wow.....That should translate to a bit less than 1-MOA, which is perty-dern good for any rufle in any caliber.
I must say though, that I'm a bit surprized at them results for such a light/stubby bullet being fired from a pistol caliber rifle...meaning that the .357's that I've worked with always seemed to like 150-160 grn bullets the best.
What twist-rate are you working with?

I do not now what the twist-rate is on the 77/357?? Maybe someone can tell us. Will the lighter the bullet the fast you can put it. You can put a .355 " Dim. bullet that is a 9mm , 90 gr. HP and can go very fast. It all so does a lot of damage to a animal. But you need to stay in the 50yd. are so.

Catalog shows a 16" twist. I have shot Montana Gold 125 gr JHPs from my Rossi M92 (30" twist) over 20.0 gr H110. I get 2000 fps and cloverleafs at 20 yds. Have not shot that bullet outside.
