I'm new to the forum, so I hope I have not asked too obvious a question. I've owned a 77/22, no sights, since the early '80's (?). It has always been scoped. Now I'd like to remove the scope and mount a good receiver sight with repeatable click adjustments, with a ramp base and Lyman #17 globe sight up front. While I admire the little NECG sight and its attachment to the receiver, it is best to sight such sights for a fixed distance and leave it alone thereafter. The Williams FP with target knobs would seem okay---if it can fit the gun. I'd prefer not to inlet the stock for it, but might give in. The bolt release position looks like a problem, too, in that the sight base would cover it.

Has anyone successfully put such a sight on these guns? Or some other sight? I am used to the massive Anschutz target sights, which mount on the receiver top, but I don't want something so big on this little gun. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Welcome to the Forum!
I haven't heard of this being done,,, but maybe someone else has. I wish I had more to offer.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll be patient and maybe someone will have done this before.
