Gents - I'm seriously looking into the K77/22 VMBZ - The target gray 24" with the laminated wood stock, however I realy like the stock on the K77/44 RSPC - a camo'd synthetic stock. I'm fairly certain the stocks are not a direct swap, as nothing in my life is that easy. My question is - could I buy the Ruger Black synthetic stock that is on their K77/22 RMP separately and have them apply the camo pattern on the 77/44 stock to it - or are those stocks subcontracted? I really like the camo pattern stock and the longer barreled target grey action - I think I'm trying to develop a hybrid type that would be suitable for local predator hunting, shorter range/ less noise, but a bit more than a standard 22LR - Any thoughts would be appreciated, as I've yet to even call Ruger about this - Thanks for you input - Bill
