70s car commercials

I lusted after a Boss 302 but my insurance agent spoiled that. I settled for a "normal" 302 type. It was . . . adequate.

I always liked the AMX commercial, the son had it ready for the strip & Dad hollered for Mom to see how their Son had butchered it. Remember the Toyota dragging a rocket car at the strip. I'd love to stumble onto an old Maverick to tinker with

I've got my grandma's 71? Powder blue maverick one owner car in a garage. Ton of dust on it though. Last run for family reunion 6 years ago. Only you wouldn't want it it's a 200 six and 4 doors.

My first wife HAD TO HAVE a Pinto. We had one with all the 'bells and whistles'. Great LOOKING car but a POC on any road with a little 'bumpy' surface. The thing would change lanes without any input from the driver. Suspension SUCKED.

Ahh, the Pinto. Upon graduating nursing school my little sister bought one. A short time later she asked if I would check an oil leak. I told her to take it to the dealer. She said they wouldn't fix it.

Now that sounded strange so next time I was home I took a look. She had all but peeled the oil pan off. Turns out while jetting through the hospital parking lot , after work (date with boyfriend) she tried to straddle a stop block.

She missed the date. Boyfriend was as mechanically inclined as a hamster, maybe less so. So I fixed it.

Wouldn't you know it a few months later she did it again. Told her to get a new boyfriend instead she married him a couple of years later.

Back in 87 I had recently gotten out of service and was shopping a Mustang for a daily driver. I came across a 70 BOSS 302 and if I recall it was about 14.5 k. I almost pulled the trigger but decided I cant use that as a daily( especially in NY) a couple months later I bought a new 88 GT for nearly the same price. Still love the Boss Stangs
Today I was playing husband uber for the wife running errands with her. Took the Vette out to do it and while going from one place to another had the wife shoot a pic from a car show we have locally on Sunday's and saw this beut from the road to send to my older brother who a big Mustang guy
