Well, the snow settled considerably and lots of places turned to mud. I sure hope it gets cold enough to freeze that mud a bit by morning. I have a delivery by tractor/trailer first thing Monday and it's going to be messy in the extreme w/o a skim on the slop.

make sure all the insulation is in place. We are going into several days of freeze
during the night. For here, that's cold.
Also checked the forecast for where I lived in CO and they are looking at four to
six inches of snow in the next few days with a low tonight of six degrees and a low

I can handle cold better than heat.
This wide variance in normal temps is the real killer. Here in north MO, we used to have what we called "a January thaw". Many years this mid-winter warm up lasted for long enough that we could plan an early calving cycle and fairly often the ground was tillable during this period. In the late 70's, I plowed 72 hours straight in late January to catch up on some ground I'd rented late the previous year. Had lots of calves born during similar wather and time. Quite often the temps weren't any colder than late Feb or early March and the ground was drier to boot.
Definitely not so this year. Almost no frost in the ground and it's wet all the way to China. Saturday I was plowing snow/slush off the area where I hope to drop the cargo today and just "fell in" with the big John Deere. We had to feed hay yesterday afternoon and the loader tractor was squirting water from under the front tires just driving out to the feed yard.

60* here at 10:00 AM this morning,same tomorrow then downhill.
I'm in Rainsville AL on Sand Mtn. right now on an all day motorcycle ride. It was 75* earlier. The next 10 days will be cold and rainy. At least there's no snow in the forecast. I sure have enjoyed the last 2 days, though! :)

About noon today I was in Moberly MO with a temp of 65*. Headed north after noon and it turned overcast and 50 miles north, the temp was 45*.
I was talking with my Cousin on the phone and he said it was 35* with a cold, damp wind just north of Hwy 2 in Iowa(another 50 miles north).

Twenty five above this morning but we've been having a day or two now and then around 60.
Well in SLC, Utah at my house this AM it was 8 Degrees And not a cloud in the sky, and a fresh 17" of snow I had to snow blow last night! I was in Las Vegas this last weekend to see George Strait it was 73 degrees there!

Monday morning just below freezing so a thin frozen crust on the mud. The semi driver backed his trailer off the edge of the road about 75' into a hoped for 450' reverse into the proposed drop location. 16,000# and 160 horsepower finally extracted the truck by getting slack in the tow strap and hitting the end repeatedly. Oh well, I guess I expected too much.
Once headed back the way he came in, the truck driver didn't slow down or look back. He was probably very happy to get back across the Mrs. Hippy river ASAP.

All that mud must really stink. One good thing about being North is the ground freezes No Mud. Till spring thaw that is its over quickly tho. ps
Yep, it has been in the 60’s here for most of the week, with torrential rain and flooding, necessitating calling out the Rescue Squad, Fire Dept etc. Thursday’s High was 50. Snow predicted for today with 0.5 inch accumulation. Ha! At 0315 we have 3 inches on the ground and it is snowing hard. That my friends is why I don’t believe the Climate Alarmists. They can’t even get the next 24 hrs correct!!!

Tough here too. We had a bit of frost on the roof the other day. Slightly cloudy, but nice today nearly 60.
