I have ended up with 2 boxes of 255grn cast bullets made by DuroCast
(NO LONGER AROUND)
The boxes have " Heat Treated " stamped on them
Any one have a Clue as to how Hard these are ?
And How Fast / Hot do I need to Load them to keep from LEADING my Barrel ?
Thanks
Mike

Ignore all that for the moment, and load them as you wish.
Except only load twenty test twenty and see how they actually perform from your platform(s).

Can I use these for COWBOY LOADS ?
I only have a OLD ARMY with a Conversion Cylinder in 45LC

I would expect that they are too hard for use at low velocity and pressure without leading. Not knowing how old they are, it's difficult to even guess how hard they are; I imagine they were around the hardness of Linotype when they left the factory.

you could always take few put them in the oven for a hour and let them cool down and see if that softens them up. If they really were heat treated that should work how ever if they are mixed with a alloy to make them hard heating them and slowly cooling them will have no effect
