.45 Schofield reloads for Blackhawk

Hello, I am a new member and was wondering if any of you are reloading the .45 Schofield for use in a Blackhawk. My wife gave me a set of dies and some brass for Christmas. I have looked at some cowboy action loads but would like something a little stronger. Thanks.

The Schofield case is shorter so the same powder charge will provide a bit more power than 45 Colt. Be aware that use of the shorter case will likely cause carbon build up in the chambers which may inhibit the use of standard length (45 Colt) cases and is a PITA to clean. Look in any manual for standard level or Ruger only 45 Colt load information - there is plenty available.

There is excellent factory pressure tested loading data in everyone of the recently published loading manuals. Hodgdon's manual listes the three[3] most popular projectiles and six[ 6! ] of the best propellents.
