I wanted a longer ejector rod stroke. I chucked my base pin in a drill press and cut it off at the first groove from the tip.
I then smoothed it off with a file and emery cloth.
It gives me about 5/16 ths more ejector stroke,looks like it came that way and saved me about 30 bucks for buying a custom pin.
