Just loaded up a few test loads and does it ever measure nice. Loaded 7.4 and 7.9gr. loads for my 2 Blackhawks. Using Unique, measure was quite a bit off from what meter sheet said. Universal was almost right on and very consistant. May just start using it more and Unique less if it shoots as good as it measures. triker

If you use Unique you'll have to throw out the Lee load disk chart that correlates volume to weight in grains and just make your own. Unique ain't close, nor is 2400. Bullseye is, as is most of the Accurate and Hodgdon data.

Hammerdown77, I noticed that with the Unique. In the 8.0 gr. range the chart is off by a full grain in my measure. I just checked until I found one that dropped close to what I wanted. I have one of the micro adjust ones if I want to get exact. Nicer to just use the Universal. I always check them before I start dropping charges and about every 10th rd anyway to verify. triker

Seemed like one of the other Alliant powder rows was pretty close for Unique. Green Dot, maybe? So close I wondered if they'd mixed them up.

Yes, the numbers for green dot are pretty close to what Unique should be.

If they mixed the two up, it's been that way for years. I use the 1.02 hole in the autodisk for Unique to throw pretty close to 8gr. If memory serves me correctly it throws about 8.2 on average with Unique.

Please double-check with your scale before you take my word for it.
