Anyone know if Ruger actually shipped a Blackhawk with a 45 ACP cylinder only?
Local gun shop says they called Ruger to see if they would fit a 45 Colt cylinder to a revolver I bought from them. They claim Ruger said it was shipped as 45 ACP only and will not fit 45 Colt cylinder.
I’ll likely try and source one from the forum but I’m actually enjoying it as is for the moment.

Ruger's site have convertibles listed when you enter the serial number?

ETA: Now I think they don’t. I think the convertibles used the same s/n prefix as those produced only in 45 Colt.

If you can't find one but really want one, Gary Reeder in Flagstaff will probably make you one.
He made me an un-fluted one about 7 or 8 years ago so I can't say for sure he'd do another today but give him a call. I want to say it was around $250? He needed the revo in hand to time it so you'd be without it for a while. He does excellent work. If you do it, consider also getting his action job while he has it. He's done 3 of my NM Blackhawk's over the years & they all break at 2 lbs.

I’ve been trying to send an email inquiry but the form keeps telling me to confirm and retype the serial number. Maybe I’ve got one that doesn’t exist. LOL

I've never heard of them producing a .45 acp only Blackhawk. I won't say they didn't,, but highly unlikely. Instead of calling or trying to email anything,, a simple written request,, using their form,, and sending them $10 will get you the info you seek.

Oh, on that form,, there is a place for your phone number. If they find an anomaly,, they will call you.

Bought many cylinders on a auction site and all but one was a drop in fit. Ratchet teeth were different. Last one I bought was advertised as a .44 mag but turned out to be a .45acp which dropped right into a Blackhawk .45 I had just got from my uncle. (y)

check out rugercyl.com They could hook you up with a 45C cylinder.
