I've been curious about the .41 mag here lately. But damn I don't really want another caliber to cast and load for....

Why not another caliber?
Shoot,, I have casting, reloading & such for most calibers, and several I don't own guns for. 60+ sets of dies, many pistol molds, lots of brass, pounds & pounds of lead, all makes for a happy shooter around here!

The 41 mag is my favorite, I have the Marlin 1894 in 41 mag and its a great shooter, deadly at 50 yds. Its backed up by six more ruger revolvers in 41 mag. Its my go to revelover when deer hunting and will drop a deer in its tracks.

me too, one with the Ballard Cut rifling is a hen's tooth, but imagine how good a 275gr SSK heavy cast would shoot out of one
