That is not a very high rate of failure less way than 1 percent. I would think if it was something mechanical you would encounter it more often.With my 597 I hang on the trigger too long maybe one out of 75 rounds if I am shooting from a bench slow. Even higher rates of failure if I have not shoot it in a long time.Others have put hundreds of rounds through it without a problem. If it were me I would just keep shooting it. One of two things will happen the problem will go away or it will become more common. If it is the gun it will get worse if it goes away it might of been you. I know we all want a gun that is 100 percent reliable but they don't exist. Your gun is running 99.9933333 reliable. Hard to get much better than that.
