I got rid of my last "duplicate" lever gun the other day thinking im finally past needing two of each of them... Then this one comes along. I even told several of my friends about it to no avail. I cant resist a dang 357 Marlin 1894. Its kinda rough but no pits and has pretty wood so i had to bring it home.

these guns are nice as well. I don't really know much about them. How are the ballistics with a revolver cartridge through a longer rifle barrel? Is the rifling the same?

kevin,
the barrels are both 18.5" with microgroove rifling. i havent ever been able to compare ballistics, as i dont have access to a chrono. i did however find out a friend has one, so i may be able to talk him into getting it out for me one day. maybe then i can tell for sure.

good to know! i know i was shooting some magtechs and at 50 yards with irons it shoots really good. i feel confident that it would take a deer no sweat! i am gonna be in the woods with the bottom one come november.
