Heck, why mess with a 180 gr. bullet in the .358? Why not a 150 gr. bullet. Think I'm kidding? I have a few 150 gr. spitzer .35 caliber bullets that I'm thinking are Remington's made for the .350 Rem. Mag. With the lousy BC and SD they're probably only gonna be good for blowing up coyotes or some such. I've had them for quite a few years. Picked them up at a gun show n the cheap and just never did get around to loading and shooting any. I'm not even sure where they are out in my shed. :(
I've been ignorig the .358 lately as I've been playing with the .35 Whelen. I've been invited to a pig hunt on a local ranch and I'm thinking of loading up some 200 gr. Hornadys for one of the .358s and using it for the little piggies. 8)
The more I play with the .35 caliber rifles the more I like them.
