In the process of buying an OM 6 1/2" right now but dont have it yet. I'm going to try to leave it original. Right now I just have these two.

It is a 1974 K-frame 10-3 with a Colt 6" python barrel. It was crafted by Bill Davis in Sacramento in 1974.

It goes by two names, Smolt and Smython.

This is from the literature of the time,

"An outgrowth of the Practical Police Course (PPC) matches of the early 1970's was a custom built handgun called the Smython. Police shooters of the time favored the S&W Model 19 for its trigger action and the Colt Python's for its barrel weight and high accuracy."

I can attest to the accurcy of this revolver. The first time I fired it at a 25 yard target, all six rounds printed within a pattern of 1-1/2".
