32 caliber kitchen gadget

So I prefer to use a vintage old style Revereware stainless coffee percolator. Tired of cleaning the basket tube using paper towels pieces and a chop stick to push a patch through to clean out the crud, I now keep a section of aluminum cleaning rod and a new 32 caliber cotton bore swab in the kitchen drawer. Works great. Wouldn't have thought of it except I was cleaning a rifle at the kitchen table. I knew my hobby had other applications.... Don.

Gun room tools to the kitchen 8) . I have several kitchen tools in the gun room.
Since they were mentioned.... Wife & I had Chinese take out a couple weeks ago. Asked her to get some chop sticks while she was there. After the meal, she observed that I had not used the chop sticks. I told her they were for the gun room, perfect for poking something through a hole when I didn't want remove a brush, swab etc from a cleaning rod. Good for mixing epoxy also.

Ha Ha! You must of had my wife's coffee. On time it'd be like dishwater the next time it'd dissolve your fillings. Finally she told me to make it myself.

Way off topic here, but...............

Years ago I worked in a paint store, and a lady come in to buy paint for her kitchen. She had prepared the percolator the night before, and apparently some coffee grounds plugged that aluminum tube. As the water reached the plug, the grounds expanded and stopped the tube good. The steam built up and the tube exploded. The shape of the percolator projected the coffee grounds up and they embedded themselves in the enamel on the ceiling.
