ok let's try something else. i realize these are fairly scarce. anyone want to take a guess as to approximate value? doesn't have to be spot on, just a general range.

First of all, there aren't many floating around at any given time. If you could get a stainless one for $350.00 that would be a real buy. S/S versions are fetching ~$400.00 and up, depending on location and condition. I have one I paid less than that for and one I paid more. 8)

i would have figured they were close to $500. picking it up in an hour for $400 cash out the door. guy said he bought it new, fired 3 rounds (every other cylinder), cleaned it, put it back in the box and in the safe. been there in the safe ever since. it looks to be an older model, as it comes with the old panel grips.

I'd say you did OK. Especially if you like it. Fun gun to carry and shoot.

it's a .357 with (i believe) the full lug. serial prefix indicates it was produced in 2007.
this gun was definitely a safe queen. not even a hint of a turn line on the cylinder. so of course, that had to be rectified immediately! :lol: put a box of 148gr wadcutters through it to start, then finished off with some of my carry ammo: a cylinder each of .38+p gold dot short barrel, .357 gold dot short barrel, and .357 fiocchi extrema 158 grain.
VERY accurate revolver with a surprisingly smooth action. i used to own a couple sp101's, and they both had a lot more sharp edges and gritty actions, especially when new. this gun is a keeper for sure!

Would not take $500 for mine, because I haven't seen another one locally at any price! It came with the short, wood insert grip that I really didn't like. Tried the Hogues and they weren't right either. Tried the early wood insert grip for the adj sight models (they are longer than the early fixed sight grips) and Eurica! Just what I needed!
