.270 magazine problem

My new American .270 has a magazine problem. Will load the 1st round but not the 2,3,4 round. Have tried rem and win ammo, no luck. Does anyone have this problem?

I haven't heard of any such problem, but I rarely fool with the rifles. May I suggest a polite call to Ruger & discuss this with a technician? It may be a simple magazine issue not allowing the rounds to properly come into place for pick-up.
And as noted,, you may want to post this in the Rifle category to get more responses.

Make sure the follower or spring is not hanging up somewhere, also spring tension, George.
