2245 reassembly

Can't get the receiver to go far enough forward on the grip frame. So the holes for the bolt stop pin don't line up.

I had a difficult time getting the receiver off the grip frame when dissambling it initially. Took pretty good wack with the rubber mallet to get it loose.

Just bought this gun used and this is my first time taking it ( or any gun for thatr matter ) apart.

Should I just give ity a good wahck with the mallet to get the holes to line up?

Yep, a good whack with a soft faced mallet can work. Or, some of us just place the muzzle on a piece of carpet, and then push it firmly into place.

whack got the job done. Encountered a few other issues but got them resolved. Hopefully this will get easier with time!
