First thing the idiot does is take it out of the box and start fiddling around with it.... even has his finger on the trigger several times. NEVER checked to see that it was unloaded.... granted, it's NIB straight from the dealer, but I'll bet this is indicative of how he does it all the time.

Didn't watch the video. If it's the new Victory model, I have one on order. I like the all stainless design.
Well, I do have to say, it's perty. Is it any better? I kind of doubt it. I own no less then 5 22/45's and several MKIIs and MKIs and Smith traitor shop is just trying to keep up. Could they build a better .22 auto? Sure, I don't know how though. You and I have fired tens of thousands of rounds through these guns that it is a mute point. Make it prettier? There is no way it could be more accurate. Or reliable. Smith and Wesson are rolling in their graves. Design your own, you aren't Chinese. So sad that Smith can't come out with something that is groundbreaking. Let's copy and say it's better.

Howdy, they copied the 22/45. It looks dang near the same. Controls are exactly the same.
Do you own a 22/45? If you do you will see the copycat version. Smith is doing nothing here. Ruger has built this gun for the last 15 years if not longer. Ruger has built in titanium, aluminum, steel, composite. I don't understand why someone would even blink at the S & W, and I give that S&W a lot of credit because it is no longer them.
I will tell you I am the most anti S&W fan. I will be honest. This is the only firearms company I despise. They maintain the name but they aren't a US company at all. Plus, they have no innovations. Sounds like the Chinese does it not? I hope you enjoy your purchase.

S&W offers a lot of great products. You're doing a disservice to yourself by discounting them entirely, but more available for me :-D

S&W is an American based company, they don't outsource their manufacture to foreign countries and they hire American workers and support the American economy.
But none of that's really important anyway. Can't we agree there are a lot of good guns out there, not just American made ones.
S&W builds a good product and has a good warranty. If they would have gotten around to the M&P first, Glock probably would never have been heard of. (Not bashing Glock)
I can understand your own personal feelings about the company but to dissuade other interested parties, such as newer shooters or potential new firearms enthusiasts from the brand, does them a disservice as well, you're accountable to that...
But let's put all that aside.
The victory model is nothing like the 22/45 I owned. It's not even like a S&W 22A or Browning buck mark. Those don't utilize enclosed bolts, but rather, slides. The 22/45 utilizes a captured rsa (recoil spring assembly) with a unique doggy ear method to retain it in the bolt. And the bolt is round. Totally different in design than the Victory, shown in the video. Even the takedown method is different.
