I had a recent jamming issue with the Ruger Mark IV. I had a clean pistol btw.

I had two different types of .22 rounds, Remington and Winchester. I separated them out and realized that the Winchester from the white box was the culprit. I had no jamming w the Remington rounds.

Are there any other Ammo types to steer clear from with the Ruger Mark IV? I hear CCI are very good

Thanks in advance

Each firearm can be different. 22s are finicky; both the ammo and the guns.
My advice would be to always avoid Remington for example. But since it works for you …. Stick with it.

Had a similar problem and cured it completely by using a small quantity of “Flitz” polish on a swab mounted in a drill and cleaned out the chamber. I took great caution not to go in too deeply…just the length of the casing.
Never needed to do it again…just kept the gun reasonably clean.

Great advice! Thank you all. By the way, where do you guys typically get your ammo?

Just finished at the range. Tried three types of cci ammo

Standard velocity 40gr had 5/100 misfires
Mini mag 36 gr 1/100 misfires
Mini mag 40 gr 0/100 misfires

The larger powder charge in the mini-mag seemed to “power” the process more reliably than the lower velocity (1235fps vs 1070fps) in not only unpolished chambers, but also in a “less clean” firearm. Like I said earlier, polishing the chamber solved it all.
For me, the mini-mags function well even in a filthy firearm…at least to a point…lol.

Best place I’ve found for CCI SV is SGAMMO, in Oklahoma.
Always consistently fair pricing with free freight over $200.
This is what I buy. CCI burns cleaner than other brands of bulk .22 so I don't have to clean my guns as often. CCI MiniMags are great but my Ruger Mark II's cycle just fine with CCI SV which is more accurate.
I don't buy CCISV by the brick, I buy it by the case....several cases at once.

You shouldn't be having misfires with the cci ammo. If your pistol is reasonably clean, the firing pin is probably the culprit. The mk4 Ruger FP is a light weight titanium pin.

I recommend you purchase a Volquartsen bolt tuneup kit. It's an all steel FP and an extractor with a better shape than Ruger's. I'd look to buy from Rimfire Sports. Their prices are better than most and shipping is always free.
