I just bought a 22/45 Lite and the scope rail was already installed ,does the factory now install the scope rails before they are shipped ?

I've seen that too on the website. But I think I saw one in a display case a week ago or so that didn't have the rail installed.
It would be nice if they could make an integrated rail on at least one model, with or without fixed sights. Might be interesting.

I'm almost certain there was a "rail only" version when I was looking for a threaded barrel 22/45(maybe it wasn't a LITE).

I think it depends on which version it is. This one's a rail-only version and comes with both installed. Rails are not integral.

I got a nice reply from Ruger CSR and she told me that all of the current 22/45 Lites, except the black fluted model, come with the rail installed but the screws are not lock tited . I am going to unscrew my screws ,clean them and blue lock tite them and the front sight screw down.
I had wanted the silver 22/45 that looked like a Tek 9 but the wholesaler substituted the green model because they were out of the silver model and it is now out of production. Not sure I was happy about that but the dark green one looks good and unique.
Part two of the 22/45 question. Do you lock tite the barrel thread/muzzle protector to keep it from loosening . Or do you just finger tight it against the O ring and shoot it. My last 22/45 ,first issue bronze/green, would walk it's groups as it warmed up . Comments please.

Yes...the blue LITE was the first one to have the picatinney rail installed on the gun. The Cobalts did not have the rail, nor did the black fluted guns as mentioned. All LITE models now have the picatinney rail.

I took the green goblin to the range this morning and was very pleased with accuracy and function. It shot under 1" with CCI Blazers and CCI Tactical . I shot it at 25 yards from an MTM rest and with a TRS25 RDS . I installed a Sam Lam hammer bushing ,a VQ sear and a VQ trigger and the mags fly out of the gun and the trigger is nice and reasonably light and smooth.The gun is a great plinking gun. Much better gun than original 22/45 in the silver/green finish.
