22/45 lite jam with winchester "subsonic'

I was testing some subsonic rounds and now I know I was stupid to load a full clip until I tried one round. The first round I fired failed to cycle, the slide is jammed. How do I procede from here? The slide moves just a little, should i force it?

Is the slide more jammed than it would be if the pistol was uncocked? You may have failed to recock the hammer with the subsonic round, in which case it will take as much force as cocking the pistol for the first round.

If you can account for the whereabouts of all the rounds and the gun is not loaded, you might start the disassembly process by releasing the mainspring from the back of the grip (that annoying lever mechanism). With the mainspring released, the hammer shouldn't resist the bolt movement and you'll know right away if there's an issue cycling the slide/bolt.

Thanks I can barely move the slide and not fully cock the pistol. I may hava a fired and live round jammed. I'll try dissembling and see where that gets.

Releasing the spring did the job. Now I'm going to clean thoroughly and then test with a single round then two to see what is the problem.
