Unless it has been abused, and assuming it did not have issues from the factory, odds are high that it will be just fine.
And if not, Ruger is extremely good at making things right.
But, do perform an inspection, both visually and functionally. Bore and chambers clean and bright and undamaged? Crown undamaged? Ejector attached tightly? Cylinder and base-pin undamaged? Timing okay?

$399 and you didn’t bring it home? Go back there and buy it right now. If it has an issue, ruger will fix it. Around here $399 is a-smoking deal.

Didn't go by there today, I'm waiting on a guy to give me a price on a like new 5.5" stainless bull bbl. MKII. If the price is right on it , I'm gonna buy it.If not I'll go back and get the Bearcat if they still have it. He was supposed to already let me know something, but I'm still waiting on the call.

Wow great deal. I would grab it now if it were me. I have a Shopkeeper that I bought on GB and payed way more than $399.00. Good luck with that great little gun. Check out my Shopkeeper, the only thing I did to it was change the grips. I'm currently in the process of doing a high polish on it. I'm about half finished.

I'm sorry that this is an older post, but this MKII you bought is one of the very best, series and heavy bbl Target, that Ruger ever made, IMO.
