1911 target sights

Hello, I'd like to find a set of target sights for my Ruger 1911 9mm, has someone done this ? Tks for all Ideals....

Not sure what you mean by target sight but if you are looking for adjustable this might work.

Call Brownells and talk to a tech guy and see if any of these will fit.

Any other adjustable sight will require machining the slide. Talk to the tech guys about that also and your options. They have always been very helpful.

Pachmayr and now LPA sold a rear adjustable sight which didn't require machining, just a sight-pusher tool or a brass hammer. Supposedly designed for use with modern factory front sights... Unfortunately most of whats left out there requires scrounging through new/old stock bins.

I'd say talk with Robar or a couple local 1911 'smiths (get pictures of past work/references) and spend for what you want. Money is replaceable.
