I just ordered a couple of Ruger 10 round magazines for my SR1911. I am shooting in a match that requires 10 shots in 15 seconds. There are 5 stages so 5 magazines would be best. I already have a Chip McCormick, but I'm thinking of getting a couple of the Chip McCormick Power 10 Plus.

Just curious if any of you have done a comparison between Ruger mags and MoCormick?
The Rugers are about $10 more.

The Ruger 10 rounders are made by Checkmate, you pay about $7-8 bucks more for the Ruger version vs. the non-Ruger variety...I do not own any 10 rounders as I have so many standard capacity 1911 mags.....

Let us know how you like them...

Basically you pay more for the ruger hawk etc. If that is important then they are worth it.

The mags should arrive tomorrow. Turns out that they weren't $10 more than McCormicks. The Ruger store gave me a 20% discount and free shipping so they were just a couple of bucks more.
I'll let you know how well they work. Could have used them today for a bowling pin match. Sometimes 7 shots just aren't enough to clear 5 pins off the table...

The 10 round mags arrived this morning and I took them to the range this afternoon. I shot a box of 50 with them and had no issues at all. I plan to order a couple more!
