I mentioned to a friend at work that I might be looking for a 10/22 down the road (after I get my Blackhawk that is). He said he had three of them and he might be willing to part with one. Only problem is the trigger assembly had been taken apart and needed to be put back together. If I want to put it back together he'd probably let me have it relatively cheap. My question is how difficult is putting something like that back together assuming all the parts are there? I am a complete novice at this sort of thing, having only stripped down my P95 and Mini-14 for cleaning. Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Stripped housing + all the parts...might take 30 minutes the first time but it's actually a pretty easy task. Be a good time to upgrade the hammer too.

Not a bad job at all I've done several, just watch those 10/22's are addicting and you can sink a lot into them. The aftermarket parts and add on's are endless. Don't ask how I know.

A good site to check out is Rim Fire Central it's really dedicated to rimfire, with an emphasis on 10/22's. Good luck.

Assuming all the parts are there you can do it but will need something like 10lb finishing nails or punches to use for extra pins... I forget the exact name... substitute pin or such... you use one of these to hold all but the spring in and then put the spring in and push the original pin through from the other side.

what I would do is ask your friend if you can borrow one of the other 10/22s to use its trigger group to copy the other... along with the mentioned exploded diagram/schematic.

It really is easy to do.

You'll love shoooting the 10/22. Great little rifle. Same as the post above. YouTube 10/22 trigger assembly and there are a few step by step videos to get the job done. Good luck.
