10/22 Receiver

Would anyone out there have blueprints for the top of the receiver? I'd like to custom mount the same sights that are on my service rifle. I am going to use the 10/22 for practice.

By service rifle do you mean an AR platform? If so, have you looked at TechSights?

No, I have a M1 and a M1A. I picked up a cheap demilled M14 receiver and I thought I'd cut the sight mount off the top of it and machine it to fit on the Ruger. I have all of the rest of the parts, so labor aside, it would be free. The radii of the top are what I'd really like to know.

I have 5 M1s and work as a gunsmith. IMHO the TechSights would be far easier. YRMV.

There at least was a company making M1 look-alikes using 10-22s. I don't remember their name or know if they're still around, but their rifles LOOK just like an M1. Might be worth a bit of searching.
