10-22 Receiver anodizing

Does anyone know about what serial number Ruger stopped anodizing the 10 22 receivers?

Was the anodizing they did "hard" anodizing?

Actual annodizing stopped a long time ago on 10/22 receivers, as it did with XR3-RED aluminum grip frames...the '80's sometime maybe? After that Ruger went to a teflon coating, maybe ion applied?

I believe that only the 60's guns were anodized, the changeover occurred around 1970, about the time of the switch from the fingergroove to the deluxe sporter. So basically all the pre-prefix guns were anodized, plus a few early prefix guns.

....1970? Then what was on them until the 80's? I don't think Ruger or anyone else was powder coating in 1970. Ion applied as mentioned above is PC, no? I remember some chemistry.
