10/22 Charger at the range

This is a 5-shot group at 25 yards with my Charger. Amazingly it shoots best with CCI Stingers. I put a Volquartsen hammer kit in it, and have a Blackhawk Axiom stock on it, and a Simmons 2x6 pro-hunter handgun scope. CCI MiniMag HP's and Federal Champions both shoot good out of it, but not as good as the Stingers. This will be one of my squirrel guns this fall.

do me a favor, and possibly you too, run a test on the Charger...

make sure it is unloaded.... put the safety on and cock the rifle and pull the trigger then push the safety off and see what happens...

when I put a new Volquartsen Hammer and Spring on mine and did the above the hammer would fall and the rifle would shoot if there was a round in the chamber. It had to do with the play between the sear and the safety.

Rum-- nice shooting :!: :!: I have a kid match barrel with a rifle scope on mine and a trigger job & I couldn't beat that group at 25 GREAT little shooting guns--- even my stock barrel was accurate.

No problems. I have put these on four different 10/22's, 3 in rifles and then my Charger. Have had no issues with any of em.

I've put them in 10/22s too... all with the metal trigger groups.... but the Charger with the plastic trigger group had the problem... glad you didn't... just wanted you to be sure it was okay.
