#1 375 H&H Value

I have a lead on a 130- prefix #1-H in 375 H&H. It is said to be NIB and the asking price is $800. What is value of this? all my knowlegeable buddies aren't answering their phones.

It's value is in all actuality the amount it's worth to the person that purchases it. I've passed on that particular chambering for less.

Dave, $800 NIB is reasonable. Especially if it has nice wood. Besides, the Number 1 H in .375 H&H tends to be accurate. I love mine. Got it 9 years ago for a steal.

If the serial number is under 15000 or if it's a 200-year gun, I think this is a very resonable price, especially if it has nice wood. If it's later (1977), it would all depend on how much the buyer wants it and how nice the wood is. I got my 1977, non-warning 375H&H several years ago for about $520, which is more than I was generally paying for common #1's at the time, but is has FANTASTIC wood, so that was the deciding factor for me.

As it worked out, I decided against buying this particular rifle. Something else caught my I eye. 8) Thanks to all for the info and opinions.
