Shot in a 500 yard steel plate match to day. Have paired my rifle & gear down to a better transport level from the truck to the bench. 10# rifle with bipod vs a 16# with a front rest & all. As the rules went all shooting from the same bench one at a time needed, another move, big deal right, but just wearing my knees down more.
I got the deed done without comfort, & wound up in a 3 way tie for second,,,,, a damn shoot off, more moving. I no longer cared & shot last, moved me from second to fourth place, out of the money. Not bad but knew I could've been better. The old feeling really kicked in today. Paying for it tonight. 73 in 2 months.

I'll just face it I guess.

Heck that's me just walking up the drive and back to get the mail......and I'm 10 years younger than you.

At my range when I go by myself I'm reluctant to use the rifle range w/out cane which is only 100/200/300 yds.....mostly I only use the 100yd carbine range with 100yd steel plates and spinners.

Heck some days I need the cane on the pistol range to put up/take down targets...and especially to drag stands back and forth.

We've all had a tough life and didn't treat our bodies as we probably should have when we were young. Sports, military, arduous employment, vehicle accidents, surgeries, illness......it all adds up. Nothing to be ashamed of. Do what you can do when you can do it as long as you can still enjoy it.
