Don’t get all excited. 😎 I found a seller on EBay that had empty cases in lots of 10 for $40 with free shipping. Turns out it was Volquartsen. Looks like they have a bunch still… I put one lot on my watch list and they offered to knock $5 off! I couldn’t pass that up. There are sellers trying to get $20 a piece for these.

I’m planning on either vacuum forming or cutting foam inserts for these so I have an easy way to move my guns without boxes in case of a fire evacuation. Better prepared than not!
 
we've been using them for years, (since "voltquartzen"(sic) been flooding the market with cases and auto parts),after you get the molded plastic insert out of them and put some foam on the inside , you can use them for about anything, but the foam ain't free and it takes time and effort, so yes can get the $20 for them at a show.. :cool: :rolleyes:

They separate more than the case. They pull the lower and add their own upper. Take about 1/2 the bolts and polish them. Then dump all the remaining parts on the market at stupid low prices, which has driven the used parts prices through the stratosphere.

I was certainly happy to buy my 3.5 inch threaded barrel with sights from Volquartsen. Nice to have a business that does what they do. Only issue I had was the barrel is the serial numbered part thus having to go through an FFL(extra $$ to transfer) and fill out the forms.

If selling on eBay those parts are used and if they are selling as NEW they are in the serious wrong. The Volq-pulled parts shouldn't affect new parts prices one bit.
