Yes. It took me two years to get the rifle back from Paul! I think he was having some personal issues at the time and maybe a fire that damages his workshop. But this is the rifle I shot 1/8" five shot group C-C at 20 yards
To be honest after I shot that group I set the ARs aside for a number of months-life was never going to get better than that! The LGV is a great rifle as well. It is much larger and tuned to 12 fpe. I like shooting it. I set a plastic shotgun wad up at my club at 50yds and nailed it with the first shot. And the 300S is a legend. I like bench shooting a accurate springer as much as I like shooting a quality target .22 rifle.

When Air guns are brought up on Firearm forums, it is always related and the only interest in HUNTING.And they always focus on power. More is always best. I remember the great Spring maker, JM (James McCarri" and his talk about the 12 FPE as the sweet spot for a Pellet rifle. And the springs will last so much loner, be smoother etc.
The FB 300S IS legendary.

Right Dave. This is what I have been trying to explain to the OP and some following comments. Thinking in terms of traditional firearms (powder burners) is misleading. Buying a $150 AR from a box store isn't going to be useful for experiencing what ARs are all about. You don't have to spend $1000+ to get a descent AR but probably $350-$500 for a quality springer. I would recommend not investing in a PCP until you have experience. That's a very, very deep rabbit hole $$$$$$$$$. You don't get into ARs to save money in the purchase of the rifle. The pellets are cheap by comparison to ammo, it can be shot in backyards in many places or even in a garage or basement, the PCPs are extremely accurate and springers can be accurate and very challenging. Shooting a firearm rifle will not improve shooting a springer, but shooting a springer well will improve shooting a firearm (powder burner) rifle. With a powerful spring bouncing back and forth while a pellets slowly moves down the barrel is a "challenge" and it will translate to better firearm rifle shooting. If you like shooting a single action revolver you will probably like shooting a spring cocker rife. If you are into "mag dumps" forget it. If someone is interested in ARs and has no experience I suggest taking time to do your homework-it's a different world than firearms. But just as much fun. Nothing like killing flies in your backyard at 20+ yards
GTA and Pyramid Air are good sites for learning.I really appreciated your posts about AR's. I have a big box store one and was always hoping it was more accurate. I like nothing more than very small patterns no what I'm shooting and to find that an AR is capable of such accuracy is a learning lesson for me. I think you have me convinced to pick up an R7. I used to set up a little range the length of my basement to shoot in the winter and can't wait to try it again with an accurate rifle.

I reckon I couldn't live in a place where I couldn't shoot whatever I choose to shoot. 
Here is my favorite air rifle story. I had a brother in law, he is deceased now. He was 6 years older than me and when I first married into the family he and I spent countless hours hunting, plinking, and just had a lot of fun doing what guys do. Later he and my wife's sister got divorced and we didn't see a lot of each other. Years pass and we each wound up buying some land in the country and we were neighbors. One evening we were sitting out on my deck out back and I had just bought my Gamo .177 with a scope and we were taking turns shooting it. My wife came out and wanted to join the fun, so she takes the rifle and there was a barbed wire fence about 80 feet away from us with a sparrow sitting on it, she pulls up off hand and takes her shot and the sparrow fell to the ground deader than a door nail. My brother in law laughs and says 'that's it, I'm going home." 
I tried a top of the line Gamo last year. Thought it was too difficult to cock and too noisy. Took it back and got a Winchester branded Daisy. Too cheaply made. Took it back too. Still searching. Think I want a PCP; but tank, pump, etc. starts adding up so haven't bought one.
