Good morning, All - No5Shooter is back to messing around with Rugers after an absence; life gets in the way sometimes...
At any rate, my curiosity got piqued recently by Emiliano Zapata, one of the heroes of the Mexican Revolution. At one time, Talo's got a special run of Vaqueros from Ruger celebrating Zapata and one of his more famous quotes: "Mejor morir de pie que vivir en rodillas". "Better to die on your feet than live on your knees". Great sentiment. My question is this: does anyone know if that run of revolvers was the new Vaquero or the old one? And the obvious follow-up, does anyone have one that needs a new home? I'm not a collector, more of an indiscriminate accumulator, so I'm not looking for a safe queen 'cuz if I happen across one it's gonna get shot!
Thanks for any info anyone can provide. And it's nice to get back on the forum and see what's on other Rugernuts' minds.

This is the revolver that no5shooter wants. I don't want to sell it just posted for the pictures.
They come up every now and then and usually run around $1,000.00 + for NIB.

The Zapata Vaquero is a version of the New Vaquero.

Thanks Terry and crstrode for the info. Guess I'll just keep my eyes open and see if one turns up.
