I haven't been here in a while but it isn't because I don't like you!
I needed to take my Remington 700 Bolt apart last night and didn't have a tool, figured out a hack that I wanted to share.

Cut it down... You will love it. I chopped a 7.5 to 5.5 and never looked back... it is more comfortable more concealable, custom and made for me. I also love my Weigand front sight that has an interchangable blade. These are not colts, enjoy it, abide in it and make it yours!
I have a blue 45 Colt that has a cracked grip frame. Some goober used it to hammer a nail I think, there are dents and dings on the heel of the frame and the right ear is broken from the abuse. I don't think this is a warrantee issue.
Does anyone have a grip frame they are willing to part...
Bought it to make a mag cylinder and it is an older revision... $60, partial trade could be a steel ejection rod housing or AR parts.
The blued one is the one for sale the stainless one is for comparison.
Do you think the grips are factory? I don't like the right panel, it looks like it is missing something around the grip screws. Thanks for the info.

Pending trade...
It is either made in 68 or 69 and it is in great shape. The serial number is 329856. Dead on and clean. The scratches are worse in the pics than in hand and it is a great gun. If I keep it I will mess it up more. I need a beater 22/45 that I can throw in my backpack...
