    I reload .45 ACP and .40 S&W. I have a taper crimp but still encountering loose bullets in the case. At what stage in the reloading process is the taper crimp used? I'm doing something wrong here.

    Thanks for the advice. We will clean the receiver. The gun is about 10 years old but not shot too much over the years.

    Has anyone had the rear sight adjustment screws break? Can I get two replacement screws or should I invest in a new/different rear sight ie:fiber optics?

    Red Label problem

    My son-n-law has a Red Label 12 ga. He says after firing one barrel it does not switch over to the unshot barrel. This only happens occasionally. Any thoughts?

    Okay. I resized my cases and I can still push the bullet in freely. I'm changing the load to a lead bullet. And will discard the RP brass after these are shot. Thanks everyone for your help!

    Thanks for all the tips. I've been reloading for 45 years and use a RCBS single stage press. I did mike the bullets at .449-.450. The brass is Remington. I will now concentrate on the dies. Being that the .45 acp headspaces on the rim, I don't crimp or least very little.

    Ah, finally a story about a great gun! I have the same gun, .22mag/.20ga (3in mag). And mine too was handed down from dad. He made a beautiful walnut stock for it and scoped it with a Weaver K scope. This was his squirrel gun. Has to be one of the most versatile firearms ever made.

    I am loading a speer 230 gr. TMJ RN. After seating the bullet I run the shells thru the taper crimp die. I can turn the bullets in the case and move them in and out slightly. What am I doing wrong? One thing I did do was clean the cases prior to loading in a Lyman case cleaner with media. I...

    EARLY #1 IN 300 WINCHESTER

    Gotta love the #1's. Early models had beautiful wood. I have a #1 in 6mm with nice wood I bought in 1973. It's a shooter too, dime groups at 100 yds.

    Thanks everyone for your replies. I too can't see how this could happen. I too have only heard of it happening with a black powder pistol. I'll call my friend and tell him his buddy is full of B.S.
