    IWB Holster for Snubby

I'll bet there's a bunch of us that can identify with that! My brother and I are honorary members of the "Holster of the Month Club" ... got a barrel full! My 'always carry' is/was a S&W 442 J-frame or SP-101. Had the same problem, but used a Nemesis pocket holster occasionally, although I...

    .45 ACP reloading data

I’m reloading .45 ACP using 230 gr. lead round nose (LRN) bullets and Titegroup powder. I’ve been using the data from the Hodgdon website. It lists the starting load for 751 fps @ 4.0 gr. The Hornady lists it as 4.2 gr for 750 fps. The Lyman 7th Edition lists it as 4.5 gr for 735 fps. They list...

    Review: Cheap 1911 Compact

Roger that, Packer. I recently bought one exactly like the one pictured. It's a Sweetheart. Trigget was beautiful right out of the box! Eats the center out of the 'Bull' at 30 - 40 ft., even with my 74 year old eyes. Gonna put a few more boxes through it and then it goes to one of the best...

1911 Gunsmith in St. Charles/St. Louis, MO area

I have a RIA 1911 that I need to have a good, knowlegible gunsmith check out and repair, if necessary. I live across the river from St. Louis and would prefer a good gunsmith on the St. Charles/St. Peters/Wentzville/Warrenton area. Would appreciate any recommendations.

    .45ACP ammo - Mixed Primers

I was changing over from my .45 Colt setup in my Dillon 550B to .45 ACP. Just got the new set of dies for the ACP's. Had a bunch of brass all cleaned up and ready to go. After cranking only two cartridges through the deprime/resize station 1, I had a problem seating the primer ... just wouldn't...

45 Colt Bisley Blackhawk What size throats needed?

Bozack ... Done both and the chambers need reaming. Eric ... Thanks for the link to Cas' site. Guess I'll be sending my cylinder off to Cas. I'm waiting for my ol' Service buddy to check his Vaquero. Might end up sending him two cylinders. Thanks for the info, guys. :D BTW .. My understanding...

45 Colt Bisley Blackhawk What size throats needed?

rclark ... As soon as I saw your post, I took the Vaquero down to the basement, popped the cylinder and tried my .452 slugs in the cylinder. No go! Gues the first step is a ream job. Thanks for the info.

45 Colt Bisley Blackhawk What size throats needed?

O.K. I'll ask the 'dumb' question ... who/what's cas? I recently acquired a .45 Vaquero and am interested in getting it 'tuned-up'. Was going to contact John Linebaugh, but haven't yet.

    Vaquero

Excellent write up on the Vaquero's, Jim. Seen many, but that's one of the best! Passed it around to a few of my Vaquero shooters friends ... with your byline, of course.

    KARMA--GONE

You're welcome, COR ... Glad to see someone able to get some use out of them. I just like the looks and feel of wood on a Western style shootin' iron.

    KARMA--GONE

Been quiet. I mailed the grips to Odie808 last Tuesday the same way you sent them to me, Curt. Heard anything?
