    Loading For The 30-30 Winchester

H322 28gr. works well for me with Sierra Pro-Hunter 150gr flat points (PN 2000) and Winchester WLR primers and Remington brass. My Marlin and my Winchester both shoot very good groups with that combo. I also have had good luck with IMR-3031 and Rem. 170gr Core-Lokts. An important note about...

    Help choosing new revolver...

You should try shooting them before you pick one if at all possible. If you know anyone who has one you are interested in, maybe they'll let you shoot it. Also, there is an indoor range near where I live that rents a wide variety of guns. Something like that in your area maybe?

    Recommendations of SP101 holster

The Don Hume H721OT works well for my 2.25" SP101. I'm not sure if there's a 3" version but I did have to enter barrel length when I ordered it and it's stamped "2 1/4" on the inside. I don't think it would work for crossdraw, though, as it has a bit of a forward cant.

Becoming a Ninth Degree Black Belt in the Art of SP 101

Lots of good advice and discussion here. I don't think this was mentioned yet... speed strips vs speed loaders. Speed strips are easier to conceal and can be about as fast as speed loaders with practice. For speed loaders, I prefer the push-type (Safariland) over the turn-type (HKS). You may...

    I love Revolvers!

Yep. Every time I go to the range for pistol shooting with a buddy or two, I end up helping them look around for their brass that got thrown all over. At least we don't have to spend time looking for mine too. Now if I can just get them to switch...

Please educate me on which reloader to buy as a gift!

I think the gift certificate is the best idea as the choice of brand, style, etc. are very subjective and kinda personal, IMO. And who knows, maybe the guy really wants a turret press...

    SP-101 poll

All .357, mostly 158's I get at Wal-Mart and also some 125gr Golden Saber since that is my defense ammo. I would like to work up a hand load that comes close to duplicating the GS when I get a chance.

    Powders, Primers and Humidity

I keep primers and powder in the basement where it's cool and dry. The rest of the stuff stays in the garage. Equipment is oiled regulary. Haven't had any problems yet.

    best all around revolver caliber

My vote goes to the .357 for "best all around". I like the versatility of that round plus the ability to shoot .38 on the cheap. All my revolvers are .38's and .357's (so far).

    Cleaning the SP101

I figure whatever is left on the cylinder front after a good brushing is just patina. Gives it some character.

    Just bought: Ruger SP101

$500 with CT grips? That's a smokin' deal around here. :)

    Sp101 2 or 3 inch?

The one thing I would point out about 3" IWB is the holster choices are really limited compared to 2".

Should you stand or sit while reloading?

I load rifle ammo in small batches on a single stage, standing up at my garage workbench. I have a barstool available but have never felt the need for it.

Why the lack of blued double actions?

I like the looks of blued guns, and my range pistols and long guns are blued, but I do prefer stainless for every day carry. They are just easier to care for when in regular use, IMO. I agree with others here who say it's probably just a supply-demand thing. Ruger makes what sells and I'm glad...
